1861 LIBERTY SEATED 25C, NO MOTTO PR66
NO MOTTO. CIVIL WAR YEAR. ONLY 1,000 STRUCK. TIED FOR NUMERICALLY HIGHEST GRADE AT PCGS.
This is a short-lived, two-year proof type the pursuit of which is a task for those with an overabundance of patience and very deep pockets. The proof 1854 and 1855 Arrows Quarters have unknown, although presumably very limited original mintages. It is likely that the combined extant population of both issues is fewer than 30 coins, and survivors appear in the market only once in a very long while.
