1802 DRAPED BUST 10C, LARGE EAGLE MS60
ONLY 10,975 STRUCK. MS62 IS THE HIGHEST GRADED.
In 1802, a Spanish frigate sank off the coast of Virginia after running into a storm. The frigate, named the Juno, was carrying at least men, women and children and an estimated half a billion dollars of treasure from Mexico to Spain; all aboard sunk into the sea. This 1802 dime recalls this tragic loss.
