1803 DRAPED BUST 10C, LARGE EAGLE MS61
WONDERFUL MINT STATE EXAMPLE. ONLY ONE COIN GRADED HIGHER.
1803 saw the landmark Supreme Court case of Marbury v. Madison. Many see the case to be one of the cornerstones of the Supreme Court as it established a precedent for Judicial review as the court overruled a congressional decision. It is argued by some scholars that the Supreme Court had set the precedent previously during cases such as Hylton v. The United States, though in these cases, the Supreme Court upheld federal decisions. This 1803 dime recalls the first time the Supreme Court overruled another branch of the government.
