1794 FLOWING HAIR LARGE 1C, HEAD OF 1794, DENT. BORDER MS65 Brown
HEAD OF 1794. S-29. ONLY 2 GRADED HIGHER AT NGC.
This Head of 1794 Cent was minted less than a decade after the Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolution. In 1794, unlike the previous two years of the Philadelphia Mint’s operation, there was only one type of cents issued while having many obverse and reverse designs that differed slightly from one to the next. This exquisite early cent is a scarce relic which recalls the dawn of a nation and was part of the United States’ first steps out of the shadow of England.
