1846 witnessed an event called the Battle of the Bulls, where a Mormon Battalion near Tombstone, Arizona, was stampeded by wild cattle. In the “attack” three men were wounded and twelve bulls were killed. This 1846 half dime recalls an event that injured future governor of California, George Stoneman.
