1873 LIBERTY SEATED S$1, SEATED PCGS PR67+ Cameo

The 1873 LIBERTY SEATED S$1, SEATED, certified PR67+CAM by PCGS, is an appealing example within its respective series. A pleasing presentation comes through cameo contrast; color that includes green; high-grade preservation, with the assigned grade supporting the overall quality. Liberty Seated dollars are large-format silver coins with strong type appeal and significant date-by-date scarcity. Original production is recorded at only 600 pieces. The reported census of 1 at this level with none finer gives useful context for its standing. Within U.S. gold, the piece stands out for the balance of grade, history, and specific issue scarcity.
