1903 LIBERTY HEAD $2.5 PCGS PR66 CAC

The PCGS PR66 grade is well suited to this 1903 Liberty Head quarter eagle, which is described with bright visual character and proof finish. Small-format gold issues place unusual emphasis on surface preservation, strike, and originality because the fields reveal handling quickly. Advanced collectors will also note the scarcity profile: only 197 were struck. Proof specialists will focus on the depth of the fields, device contrast, and the intact character of the surfaces. It is best appreciated as a carefully preserved representative of a demanding and historically resonant issue.
