In 1942, Nazi Germany conducted its final air-raid on the British city of Liverpool. In the attack, a bomb destroyed the house of one William Patrick Hitler, nephew to the German Fuhrer Adolph Hitler. This act prompted the young William Hitler to flee to America where he would join the US Navy and aid in the fight against his uncle. This 1942 dime recalls this interesting turn of events.
